After placing your faith in Jesus, you are immersed in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is a public declaration that you belong to Him.

— Why do we do it?

A step of obedience.

Jesus commands His followers to be baptized. Going under the water and rising again pictures dying with Christ and being raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

Attend a one-hour virtual evening class the week before baptism. We’ll cover the meaning of baptism and everything you need for the day. Baptisms take place on scheduled Sundays during our 10 AM service in Commerce City.

Questions about
baptism?

Can someone I choose baptize me?

Yes. A believer who has helped you follow Jesus can baptize you alongside the pastor. Let our team know beforehand so we can plan together.

Can my child be baptized?

At Pillar, baptism begins at age 11, after Pillar Kids, with parental consent and support. We want young people to understand baptism, participate in the class, and make their own decision. For younger children, explore child dedication.

Can I sign up on baptism Sunday?

We discourage same-day signups so you have time to prepare. Signing up beforehand lets you attend the class, ask questions, and make this decision intentionally.

What if I’m nervous or have questions?

You don’t have to figure everything out alone. Share your questions on the signup form, and bring them to the preparation class. We’re here to walk with you.

Can I invite family and friends?

Absolutely. Invite them to celebrate with you, and text them the Plan Your Visit form so our team can prepare to welcome them.
