A leader will reach out to welcome you, answer questions, and talk about your gifts, interests, and availability.
03 / ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Share your faith journey.
Complete the required Acknowledgment Form. It takes about 10–15 minutes and helps us understand your faith, experience, and core beliefs. Complete the Acknowledgment Form.
04 / BACKGROUND CHECK
Help us care for everyone.
After completing the acknowledgment, look for a background-check invitation from Checkr. Every person serving at Pillar completes this step, in every role.
05 / SHADOW + SERVE
Learn alongside the team.
We’ll arrange a time for you to shadow someone, help you get comfortable, and add you to a serving rotation that fits your season.

Can I serve on more than one team?
Yes. Choose one primary team when you sign up so we know where to start. That doesn’t limit you to one area—talk with your leader about other interests and a sustainable schedule.
How often will I serve?
We’ll work with you to find a team and schedule that fits your current season. Let your leader know your availability and when life changes. You don’t need to have everything figured out before signing up.
Does everyone need a background check?
Yes. Every person who serves at Pillar Church completes a background check, regardless of the team. After your Acknowledgment Form is complete, you’ll receive an invitation from Checkr with the next steps.
Having something on your record does not automatically mean you cannot serve. Talk with our team so we can understand your situation and discuss the next steps with you.
What is the Acknowledgment Form?
It’s a required questionnaire about your faith journey, ministry experience, and understanding of our core beliefs. Set aside about 10–15 minutes. Your honest answers help us support your growth and help our teams serve with shared purpose. Open the Acknowledgment Form.
Do I need any apps to serve?
Yes. Download Church Center and find Pillar Church in Commerce City for serving schedules and team communication.
